A COA (certificate of analysis) for a research peptide is a laboratory report for one specific batch, stating what the sample was tested for and what was found, usually the HPLC purity and the measured amount of peptide in the vial. It is only worth trusting when it is tied to the batch number on the vial, issued by an independent laboratory, and can be checked against that laboratory’s own record.

A real example: SHLabz BPC-157, batch BC10/2026-0310

- Batch number: BC10/2026-0310. The same number is printed on the vial, so the vial can be matched to this report and no other.
- Laboratory: Janoshik Analytical, an independent laboratory with no stake in the sale.
- Test date: 19 March 2026.
- HPLC purity: 99.764%. High-performance liquid chromatography separates the peptide from synthesis by-products. The figure is the share of what was measured that is the target peptide.
- Measured content: 9.72 mg in a vial labelled 10 mg. This is the amount of peptide actually found, which is different from purity: a vial can be very pure and still hold more or less than its label says.
- Verification: Janoshik test #122549. The test number opens the laboratory’s own record of the report at verify.janoshik.com, so the PDF cannot have been edited without the difference showing.
Blends are reported differently. The SHLabz GLOW Blend certificate (batch SH-GLOW70-112026, 22 October 2026) gives no single purity figure. It states the amount of each peptide found instead: GHK-Cu 65.33 mg, BPC-157 12.03 mg and TB-500 11.04 mg.
